Room status shown with colour in the Reservation Module
Within the the Reservation Module, room status will now be assigned a colour for clear visualisation of the housekeeping state. This will help precede the status of a room and its check-in availability.
Product rules can now be run for Rate Groups
Product rules have now been implemented to help the efficiency of rate management. It is now possible to assign rules for rate groups instead of manually setting them for individual rates.
Room Description added to Step 2 of the Booking Engine
To help increase conversions, we have added room descriptions to Step 2 of the Booking Engine, to create a more detailed overview of the room type.
Adding a watermark to bills from the Demo Environment
As we provide hotels with a demo environment, we have now added a watermark to any bills and invoices to ensure there's differentiation between actual invoices from your live environment and invoices from your Demo environment.
Changes to key cutting workflow
For those hotels which have an integration with a key cutting system, we have improved the workflow so that only keys can be cut for rooms which are already checked in.
Multiple Currency Selection in the Distributor
When making a reservation through the Distributor, guests can now see the rates offered in multiple currencies by selecting the currency of their choice from the dropdown menu. Please note this is an indication of the price and that the room will always be charged in local currency.
Housekeeping Report can now assign rooms to different housekeepers
This new feature will assist housekeeping staff for properties with large room quantities. The housekeeping report will now allow you to select employees who are currently on shift and will automatically assign your staff to an even number of rooms. To implement this, simply click on the icon of the hand within the housekeeping report and select employees, space types (if you support multiple rooms) and the state of room. An export of the report will display which housekeeper is responsible for which rooms.
Automatic backup reports removed from the system
Earlier this year, we implemented 'export schedules' which enables you to schedule and customise the automatic sending of any report. Therefore, there was no longer requirement for pre-defined backup reports to be generated by Mews.
